Yes, it is an easy process to get a visa on your arrival. You will just follow a few steps like filling up the visa form, paying for it and getting the receipt and you will have a Nepal visa on your hand.

Is Nepal politically safe and stable?
Yes, Nepal is politically safe and stable now.10 years back, the country was struck in conflict between the Maoists and the Nepal Government. But now, all sorts of conflicts are settled peacefully and promulgated a new constitution for Nepal. People rights now have clear rights and duties and move accordingly. Nepal doesn’t have any political and religious violence right now.
How to enter Nepal?
We can enter Nepal in two ways: airways and roadways. If you are flying to Nepal, you have to find out the nearest airport from where you live. Some international airports like Bangkok, Seoul, Singapore, Hong Kong, Doha, Amsterdam, Abu Dubai, Bahrain, Dhaka, Karachi, Paro, Delhi, Guangzhou etc have direct flights to Nepal.
If you are entering Nepal via Roadways, you can use the road either from Tibet, China, or India. Tatopani via Kodari Highway is the main entry point to enter Nepal from Tibet or China.
Kakarvitta, Birjung, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadi, Mahendranagar and Belhiya are the major entry points to enter Nepal form India.
Do you have an airport pick-up facility?
Yes, we offer an airport pick-up facility which is included in the trip you book. Our representative will be at the arrival of Kathmandu airport with a placard with your or company name in a private car or jeep. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel you stay. For this, you need to pass on your arrival time and flight number to us.
I am going on a teahouse trekking. What can I expect?
We use all food items and accommodation from the teahouse in this kind of trekking. Expect to pick up the food item mentioned in the menu by guesthouse or teahouse. Expect to wait for the food for some time. Expect to Share accommodation too sometimes but not all the time. You need to share the bathroom or toilet with other people. Expect to walk 4-8 hours a day and you will be climbing 4-800 meters high in a day on average. Expect to hit the Virgin Country trail hard. Expect to meet friendly and beautiful people in the mountains. Expect to witness breathtaking mountain peaks.
How long will we walk on an average day’s trekking?
The particular trekking itinerary is designed with special attention to walking pace and hours in a day. Normally, trekkers have to walk 4-8 hours a day. This walking hour includes our lunch time too. We spent about an hour for lunch in the middle of the trip in the afternoon at around 12-1 pm.
Who will be our guide?
You will have an experienced and professional government-authorized licensed holder guide or leader lead you in the mountain. He/she knows the local culture, flora and fauna, and the mountain peaks very well. He/ she has very professional knowledge about the entire region. He/she will arrange all the accommodation, transportation, team, and food for you for your entire trip.
What kind of weather do we expect during the trekking?
Normally, mountain weather will be cold. The temperature in the mountain will range between 4-18 degrees Celsius. But sometimes, even it gets colder like -3 or -4. The weather in the mountains may have a sudden change. In shorter treks, we do not get snowfall but in longer trekking, we have sometimes heavy snowfall during winter. So, we need to be ready to adjust to this weather in the mountains. Even, we sometimes, have rainfall too.
What is the number requirement for your trip?
Even a single individual can make our trip program. It does not mean that we cannot handle the big groups. We even offer an opportunity to do any kind of our featured trekking trips to a single individual. Some people do not want to join with group. We understand it. We will divide our bigger groups into different smaller groups with no more than 8 members in a group so, that our leader or guide can take care of them properly.
Does your company help to book domestic flights, international flights, hotel booking, and bus ticketing?
Yes, we have been carrying out all these tasks since our establishment. Not only domestic flights, some of the tourists even ask us to book their international flights via us. We will arrange all kinds of vehicle booking like private jeeps, vans, cars, tourist bus tickets,s, and local bus tickets. Just let us know what kind of service you require; we will carry out all sorts of bookings for your trip.
What type of insurance do we need to have before coming to Nepal?
You need to have travel insurance that covers your rescue or evacuation and all medical expenses. It is required in case you are to be evacuated from the mountain due to any sudden injury or sickness during your trip. Sometimes we have to face altitude sickness or some fall due to slippery or steep trails in the mountain. Thus we need to be well prepared for this before coming to Nepal. We must be sure that our travel insurance covers all these sudden incidents. It is for your safety.
Is a woman traveling alone safe with your company?
Woman or man, it doesn’t matter while traveling with us. They both are the guests or our valued clients. Generally, people think that woman traveling alone is unsafe but what our female sole travelers have experienced with us is that they feel safer traveling with us and they enjoyed their trip. We know of sexual harassment of a woman who travels alone with a guide or porter. We have trained our guide to respect women and not to harass them during the trip. So, we are happy to serve solo female traveler to make their trip safe and memorable.
What is a wilderness trek?
Trekking into the core wild nature where there is no human settlement is known as a wilderness trek. Wilderness trekkers can have the most natural flavor of nature. The complete bliss of getting into the core of nature and celebrating freedom is absolutely the perfect experience. Nepal offers different kinds of wilderness trekking such as Manaslu Trekking, Makalu Trekking, Kanchenjunga Trekking, and Makalu Trekking.
How high can you get me?
Normal trekking takes you up to 5700m high which is Kalapatthar in Everest Base Camp Trekking. If you choose climbing and expedition, we even take you to the top of the world, the summit of Mt. Everest, 8848m. It depends on you how high you want to choose to go. It also depends on the type of trekking package or trip you want. You just let us know how high you want to go, we will take you there safely with our professional and experienced team.
What equipment do you provide?
We provide trekking poles, a sleeping bag, a duffle bag, and a Down jacket. You need to bring the rest of the things on your own. All these provided equipments are to be returned after the completion of the trip. You need to handle all the provided equipment very carefully.
What should I bring myself?
You should bring all your personal clothing like a small backpack bag, jacket, fleece, t-shirt, thermo coat, hat, gloves, socks, good hiking or trekking boots, sunglasses, sun cream, etc. If should also bring a charger or power bank with you in case there is no power in the mountain. It occasionally happens. If you want some pastimes, you can bring some books.
What is the best time to come to Nepal for trekking and adventure?
Nepal has four climatic seasons: Winter (Dec- Feb), autumn (Sept- Nov), summer (June- Aug), and spring (March-May). Winter and summer are not supposed to be good times to travel in Nepal. In winter, we have heavy snowfall in the mountains and we have heavy rainfall during summer. Autumn is the best time to travel in Nepal because the weather is pleasant and the mountain views are breathtaking. People also love to travel to Nepal during spring because they love to see beautiful flowering rhododendrons amidst alluring mountain peaks. So, Spring and autumn are the best times to trek in Nepal.
Can I trek in the Himalayas if I haven’t done any trekking before?
Yes, we can trek in the Himalayas even if you haven’t done any trekking before. First, you should try the trekking below 3000m. You won’t get any health hazards below 3000 m. If you have a good level of stamina for hiking for 4-8 hours at higher elevations in the mountains, you can do other challenging trekking too. But before heading to the trailhead, we recommend you do jogging, short-day hiking, and normal exercises that enhance your stamina for hiking in the mountains. Further, if you have any kind of serious sickness, consult a doctor before heading to the trekking trail.
Is your company environmentally responsible?
We entire team of Team Himalaya is very much conscious about the environmental hazards invited by tourism in Nepal. We discourage our clients from using plastic bags during their trips. If in case they use it, we tell them not to leave it in the mountain. We always request our clients not to disturb any kind of flora and fauna during their trek. Rather, we encourage them to promote them. We want our environment always fresh and unspoiled.
Can you assure me that your staff are taken care of?
Team Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. never exploits its staff so they are glad to work for it. We pay them well and take good care. All staff are insured and you just take care of yourself, we will take care of our staff. Even our staff will take care of you. Our staff including our guides and porters are paid well for their food and accommodation during the trip. You just pay your own, they will pay themselves. We would like to assure you that our entire team is well taken care of.
Are the foods and water in the lodges and camps hygienically standard?
Yes, the foods and the water you are going to have are hygienically standard. All food items are locally produced or grown. They are fresh, hygienic, and organic too. You will certainly have a quite different flavor. And the water is safe to drink. The water either is boiled or you are provided bottled water which is well purified. But do not try water from the creek or river. Your tummy sometimes, may not adjust with the water and food in the mountain. In this case, you should be very watchful. Sol, be with some general medicine which helps your tummy to adjust to the food in the mountain.
Are your staff fully equipped?
Yes, the staff of Team Himalaya (P).Ltd are fully equipped. We provide them with all the required equipment during the trip to the mountains. They will have proper hiking or trekking boots, their sleeping bag, a down jacket, and all other necessary equipment. You just bring the equipment you need; we will provide all the equipment for our staff.
What about their insurance?
Our staff are insured. If in case they face any kind of sudden accident or illness, we will evacuate them immediately and all expenses will be paid by Team Himalaya Pvt. Ltd. You do not need to worry about them. It’s our responsibility.
Are there ATM facilities in Nepal?
There are plenty of ATMs in major cities in Nepal like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Nagarkot, Besisahar etc. Nepal’s ATMs normally accept VISA or SECT. In major cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara, people also accept credit cards. We also have ATMs in Namche Bazar in the Everest region trekking.
How to stay in good health when traveling in Nepal?
Bring the right clothing according to the climate. Escape from the dust and smoke of Kathmandu Valley which is terrible. Have a balanced diet. Do regular exercises. Drink plenty of water. Do not eat food from the local restaurants. Do not use unsafe drinking water.
