Everest Area Trekking around Solu Khumbu district of Nepal located in the North Mid Far East on the Himalayan Mountains known as the Mahalangur range, where the world's highest peaks are situated. The World's most fascinating country the land of Sherpa famously known as Highlanders of the Himalayas and pioneers guiding visitors towards the base and on top of Mt. Everest. Everest Area Trekking is a popular destination due to its high mountain scenery and interesting Buddhist culture of the local villagers including old impressive monasteries.

Most of the trek to Everest Area starts from Kathmandu taking a short flight of nearly 35 minutes to Lukla the gateway to Everest and Khumbu area. The other route leads from the classic trail of Jiri which is a week-long trek to reach the Khumbu area; some can trek from the warm Arun Valley to Everest. Whatever your choice all route leads you to the main destination at Everest base camp beneath towering Mt. Everest and the massive Khumbu Ice Falls and glaciers.

Everest and Khumbu area is located within Sagarmatha National Park The park includes the highest peak in the world, Mt. Sagarmatha (Everest), and several other well-known peaks such as Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Oyo, Pumori, Ama-Dablam, Thermasarkhu, Kwangde, Khangtiaga,, and Gyachung Kang. The park was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1979. Everest area beside mountain views and cultural villages, the green forest is captivating and includes pine and hemlock forests at lower altitudes, fir, juniper, birch, and rhododendron woods, scrub and alpine plant communities, and bare rock and snow.

Wild animals most likely to be seen in the park are the Himalayan Thar, Ghoral, Serow, and musk deer. The snow leopard and Himalayan black bear are present but rarely sighted. The main settlements are Namche Bazaar, Khumjung, Khunde, Thame, Thyangboche, Pangboche, and Phortse. The economy of the Khumbu Sherpa community has traditionally been heavily based on trade livestock herding and tourism.

Besides the famous Everest base camp trek and climb of Kalapathar viewpoints, Gokyo Lake is another beautiful destination around the Everest trekking area, adventurous trekkers can join in our high passes trekking also which includes Kongma-la-Cho-la and Renjo-la of all the above 5,000 meters alpine passes.
