Annapurna Base Camp  Heli  Trek Overviews

Annapurna Heli Trek is an exhilarating trek into the lap of giant Annapurna from where we have a Heli flight to Pokhara. The ascent offers us a magnificent trekking experience via lush rhododendron woods witnessing natural cascading waterfalls and we substitute the ascent with a Heli flight to Pokhara witnessing the entire Annapurna massif once again.
Annapurna Base Camp Heli Trek has become one of the most rewarding treks in Annapurna Region trekking. This trekking takes us to the rural foothills of Annapurna where we experience beautiful traditional settlements of different ethnic groups, winding rivers, cascading waterfalls, deep and dense vegetation including rhododendrons, picturesque landscapes, and many more. We also have insight into the culture and lifestyle of the people of different ethnic groups. Some endangered species of wildlife and most important, breathtaking mountain views are lifetime memorable.
Annapurna Base Camp Heli Trek commences from Pokhara after we have a short flight or a drive (8-9 hrs) from Kathmandu. Pokhara itself is a tourist hub with natural blessings like falls and lakes. We further drive to Nayapool which is the beginning point of our hiking. We begin to hike through beautiful country settlements and vegetation. The lush rhododendron covering the entire hill is mesmerizing. It is more beautiful during March and April. We gradually ascend to Ullery via Tikhedhunga. The thousands of stone steps up will be challenging for the trekkers at Ullery. However, the climb will be pleasant. Then, we get to two popular vantage points, Ghorepani and Poonhill. These two points offer us alluring views of Annapurna-I, Annapurna-Iv, Gangapurna, Himchuli, Machhapuchhre, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and Dhaulagiri.
Annapurna Base Camp Heli Trek is not only popular for mountain views but also for experiencing unique and endangered species of flora and fauna in the Annapurna Conservation area which is the largest conservation area in the globe. Then we head to Machhapuchhre Base Camp which is also one of the popular vantage points in the Annapurna Region trekking for stunning mountain views. Then, ultimately, we get to the most awaited destination in this trekking, Annapurna Base Camp which again offers us the breathtaking views of Annapurna massif. Now, we have a Heli flight which takes us to witness astonishing mountain views again and fly back to Pokhara.

An exciting walk to Annapurna Base Camp and the scenic Sanctuary

The trek was moderate except for the high steep ups and downs and the long stone steps. Which was quite tiring, but it was well worth the effort and an exciting walk to Annapurna Base Camp and the scenic Sanctuary. A beautiful trek apart from ups and downhill path, on this trek few areas with flat gradual trails.
Having much rest in between made the trekking enjoyable as well as stopping for spectacular views. Overall the trek to Annapurna Base Camp was wonderful an amazing country walk in the heart of Annapurna Himalayas.
The trek was very good, thanks to Team Himalaya for arranging the Annapurna base camp with a return by Heli. Which made it far easier walking down and a few steep up.

Thanks to Team Himalaya for all the best services with expert guide and happy porters, the flight from ABC was short and scenic.

The trek with so much to enjoy the views and local cultures, is certainly one of the most exciting and beautiful adventures. Enjoyed every hour of the walk to Annapurna Base Camp and being around the scenic Sanctuary.   The walk however led to a steep uphill, but in the end, it was pleasant staying in nice simple lodges. We were surprised that cozy lodges with good food existed
at Annapurna Base Camp. It must be a wonder that the comfort of the lodge at ABC must be the only 8,000-meter mountain base camp. Having facilities of a good lodge and food an amazing and wonderful place to experience.
Thanks to Team Himalaya for all the best services with expert guides and happy porters, the flight from ABC was short and scenic. Enjoyed every moment of the trek and being in the comfort of Helicopter back to Pokhara.

Trip Reviews (2)
