Trip Highlights
Mera peak climbing is one of the spectacular adventure climbing experiences in Nepal. The incredible Mera Peak climbing stands high at an elevation of 6,476m. Located in the Mahalangur Range of the Khumbu zone, it is the tallest climbing peak in the country. In proportion to its tall height, the peak has relatively less technical difficulty except for altitude-wise and is one of the most often conquered climbing peaks in the country. The first ascent was made in the 1950’s by an English expedition group. Once we make it to the top of the Mera Peak summit, we will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the entire mountain ranges of the Khumbu region. Some of the notable peaks above the elevation of 8,000m seen from the top are Mt. Everest, Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyu, and Mt. Lhotse. In addition to these tall ones, we can also savor the views of the equally alluring satellite peaks. Our 17-day-long Mera Peak climbing journey begins with a scenic half-hour flight to Lukla in Solukhumbu district from Kathmandu. Team Himalaya’s Mera Peak Climbing itinerary has been very thoughtfully developed by a group of professionals to assure you a steady and gradual ascend with a full day allocated at Khare for acclimatization to the thinning air and thickening snow. The traditional route to Mera Peak is directly through the high Zatra La Pass, but, we, at Team Himalaya, will follow an alternative route that leads southward from Lukla and widens to the beautiful Hinku Valley.
The Mera Peak climbing ascend will be undertaken very gradually with great caution. You will be in safe hands with constant help and guidance from our professional and experienced team members who will perform all the necessary tasks like clearing the route and fixing ropes if necessary. Once you reach the top of the tall peak, you will be amazed by the views of the surrounding silver peaks which will make all the hard work worth it. While returning, we will trek down via the Zatra-La Pass. Following this itinerary has some good perks. It will give us the chance to not only trek down through the magical wilderness of nature but also through quaint hamlets which will give us a peek into the rich and unique lifestyle and culture of the beautiful alpine civilizations. Since the route is also longer, it will leave us ample amount of time for acclimatization and exploration.
Despite its notorious elevation, the peak is relatively easier to ascend in comparison to neighboring peaks like Island Peak climbing and Lobuche Peak climbing. For experienced climbers, it is a technically straightforward peak to ascend, with the main challenge being proper acclimatization to the high altitude. This reason makes Mera Peak climbing a popular trekking peak choice, with a great number of climbers – even those with little to no mountaineering experience – flocking to the region to climb the peak. However, all individuals are strongly advised to take part in preparation fitness and altitude acclimatization training before taking on the journey. At Team Himalaya, we are fully committed to making you ascend to Mera Peak climbing a safe, adventurous, and truly unforgettable one.

Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho- Oyu all the way in the eastern horizon Mt. Kanchenjunga including series of other snow-capped peaks. After a hard climb and in high spirit of success and enjoying the impressive panorama, descend with care on the longest trail to our base camp.

What an enjoyable exciting adventure climbing on top of Lobuche East Peak Climb with a professional guide of Team Himalaya. Reaching the summit of Lobuche East Peak at 6,119 m and 20,075 feet. Was truly an amazing and unforgettable experience. A great thrill of much technical climbing skill was required for the ascent to Lobuche East Peak. The route of the climb leads was straightforward with some technical difficulty to tackle over rocks and ice. But the expert guide made it happen. All climbers were supported by fixed ropes to reach the summit of Lobuche East Peak. From the top enjoyable moments facing the panorama of a surrounding mountain range with close views of Mt. Everest.
A great trek to Everest base camp with Lobuche peak climb was a wonderful adventure with Team Himalaya.
Enjoyed the great adventure on Mera Peak Climbing, having a marvelous experience on the highest trekking peaks of Nepal Himalayas. In the first place, I was in doubt about whether to withdraw from the climb at Mera Base Camp.

Everest, and on top of the world. It was an unbelievable moment being on the Mera Peak summit overlooking towering snow peaks.
Being a beginner in mountaineering, it was a perfect peak to climb and gain much experience. Certainly recommendable, and thanks to Team Himalaya and its guides as well the whole team of staff and cheerful porters.

Lhotse.

But the support of our expert climbing guide Dawa gave me the spirit and much inspiration to reach on top the summit. I cannot express in words the great feeling, as if I had climbed Mt.
